Who we are is a product of both nature & nurture, but also a product of choice - we are becoming the product of our repeated choices.

God is inherently relational.

Contemplation of God-as-Love can free us from the death of self-preoccupation, to serve and delight in one another.

The cross of Christ is the place where humanity did everything we could to get God to stop loving us. And we failed miserably.

Most things our friends hate about religion, Jesus hates too. Rehabilitate the word, or abandon it and move on. Either way, preach grace.

By making us in his image, including free choice, God shows his heart is not so much about controlling history as redeeming it.

The crucifixion of Christ simultaneously shows us the the evil of which we are capable, and the limitless love by which God is defined.

It wasn't nails that held Jesus to the cross. It was love.

I am learning that love is less about DOING THINGS FOR someone & more about BEING WITH someone in a way that helps them see their own worth.
