Gautama Buddha
Above the Intellect
With our thoughts we make the world.
‘All conditioned things are impermanent’ — when one sees this with wisdom, one turns away from suffering.
The root of suffering is attachment.
Whatever has the nature of arising has the nature of ceasing.
We will develop and cultivate the liberation of mind by loving-kindness, make it our vehicle, make it our basis, stabilize it, exercise ourselves in it, and fully perfect it.
He who experiences the unity of life sees his own Self in all beings, and all beings in his own Self, and looks on everything with an impartial eye.
My teaching is not a philosophy. It is the result of direct experience.
