The greatest among you will be your servant. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

Blessed are the peacemakers.

Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.

Freely you have received; freely give.

I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.

I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing.

I came so that they could have life—indeed, so that they could live life to the fullest.

By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
