Inner Engineering
When you experience life just the way it is, you are naturally in union, It is not that right now you are not in union but you are unconsciously in a state of union but if you become consciously in that state, if you experience the union or the oneness of the existence consciously, if you experience the entire cosmos as a part of yourself, then we say you are in yoga or you are a yogi.
With yoga, not only your body should become flexible. Your mind and emotions, and above all your consciousness should become flexible.
Zero is infinite, it is the very beginning of everything.
This horrible idea that there is another place better than this has been created by people who have made a hell out of themselves. If you make a heaven out of yourself, if you are ecstatic, why would you want to go anywhere? One must see how to make a heaven out of himself. Otherwise, even if you are living in heaven, you will only suffer.
The thing is, that creation is made in such a way that creation and creator cannot be separated. Here you’re a piece of creation, at the same time the source of creation is throbbing within you. If you pay little attention to this process of life, you would not need any purpose. It will keep you engaged for a million years if you want. There is so much happening. So much means, so much unbelievable things are happening right here. If you pay enough attention, a million years of existence it will keep you busy, or more.
When you start a spiritual process, being energetic means going beyond all limitations, because in energy there is oneness. In the physical body, there can never be oneness. In mental thought, there can never be oneness. We may talk about oneness, but it is never going to happen. With our emotions, we may think we are one, but we are still separate. No two people can feel exactly the same way. You may believe so, but if you have any sense, you will realize within a short time that it is not so. Some people may take years to realize; a few people will realize quickly, but everyone will realize. No two people are exactly alike physically, mentally, emotionally; it’s not possible. But when you become truly energetic, oneness is just natural. That is the way it is.
The nature of the mind is always to accumulate. When it is gross, it wants to accumulate things. When it becomes a little more evolved, it wants to accumulate knowledge. When emotion becomes dominant, it wants to accumulate people, but its basic nature is that it wants to accumulate. When a person starts thinking or believing that he is on a spiritual path, his mind starts accumulating so-called spiritual wisdom. But whether it is food, things, people or wisdom – it does not matter what you accumulate, when there is a need to accumulate, it means there is an insufficiency. This feeling of being insufficient has entered only because you got identified with limited things that you are not.
Mantras have their beauty, there is no question about it, but there is nothing bigger than silence. There is nothing bigger than the fundamental force of consciousness within ourselves. When you do not know how to do it, then we will start using conducive sounds which can do things, but it is not comparable to what your consciousness can do. No sound, no external method that we employ is comparable to the fundamental source of creation which is throbbing within you. If you know how to allow this to find expression, why would you sit and chant something?
There are many ways to look at what consecration essentially means. One simple way of looking at it is consecration means making a physical space reverberate with a non-physical dimension of energy. In a way, that is what you are too: This body is a physical thing that is right now reverberating with a non-physical dimension of energy – otherwise the body cannot be alive for a moment. Only because that which is the source of life is throbbing, physicality has gathered. If you know how to touch the source of life within you, you don’t need any consecrated space, because then this human being is a consecrated space.
The very Creator is within you; what are you thinking about?, the very source of creation is throbbing within you. What is it that you are thinking about that is more important than this?
