So all you have to do is produce a little bit of Anandamide because there is a whole marijuana garden inside! If you cultivate it properly and keep it on, you can be stoned all the time, but your mental capabilities will not shrink. To remain calm, to remain in an extreme sense of pleasure all the time, is available to every human being if he just explores his own system a little more. The science of yoga gives this pleasure to you. Yogis are not against pleasure. It is just that they are unwilling to settle for little pleasures. They are greedy. They know if you drink a glass of wine, it just gets you a little buzzy and then tomorrow morning you get a headache and everything. They are not willing to go for that. But now, all the time totally drunk but hundred percent stable and alert, because you must be alert to enjoy the intoxication. So totally drunk but fully alert; only then you can enjoy it. And nature has given you this possibility.
If you realize that you do not know anything, paying attention and learning will be natural.
Once you realize the precious nature of your existence, to be pleasant, to be loving, to be joyful, will be a natural outcome.
Once your life energies become pleasant, being blissful will come naturally. You do not have to do anything to be blissful. Bliss is not a goal by itself – it is your very nature.
It is not about what you do. You only have to maintain the direction. The rest will happen because it is not something that you or I do – it is the nature of life to realize itself.
All that needs to happen is that you shift your attention from what you have accumulated to what is really you. That is all the orientation you need.
If you want to paint, first you need an empty canvas. If you want to know music, you need to know silence.
If we want to produce generations of enhanced human beings, then we must create powerful consecrated spaces across the planet.
The fourteenth day of every lunar month or the day before the new moon is known as Shivratri. Among all the twelve Shivratris that occur in a calendar year, Mahashivratri, the one that occurs in February-March is of the most spiritual significance. On this night, the northern hemisphere of the planet is positioned in such a way that there is a natural upsurge of energy in a human being. This is a day when nature is pushing one towards one’s spiritual peak. It is to make use of this, that in this tradition, we establish a certain festival which is night-long. One of the fundamentals of this night-long festival is to ensure that – to allow this natural upsurge of energies to find their way – you remain with your spine vertical – you stay awake.
Mahashivratri is an opportunity and a possibility to bring yourself to that experience of the vast emptiness within every human being, which is the source of all creation.
